The OLIVE TREE is mentioned many times in the BIBLE.
Noah sent the dove from the Ark after the rains stopped and it returned
bearing an Olive Leaf. The night before Jesus was crucified, He prayed in
the Garden Of Gethsemane, at the foot of the Mount Of Olives. Tradition
has it that the Olive Trees in what is reputed to be the Garden of Gethsemane
today are the original trees from the time of Jesus. Modern day WOOD CARVERS
can trace their trade as far back into History as these OLIVE TREES, their
craft having been handed down through the centuries from generation to generation.
